A few notes before holidays!

Wow, got out another newsletter edition in under a month! Must be a new record.

Just a quick reminder to all that we'll be heading off from this Wednesday 8th and not returning until next Thursday 16th. We'll be in email/phone contact the whole time (not leaving civilisation) but actual production work will come to a halt.

'Horrible Logos' for only $5

This guy might put me out of business. Very funny website where you can get your own, customised, hand drawn logo for only $5.

You must read the About Page to truly appreciate. The $5 does not include a copy of the logo.

Designers combine to 'fix' iTunes 10's new icon

Once all your media is in Apple's grip, iTunes becomes indispensable. The most recent update, iTunes 10 launched with a new logo, ditching the CD and replacing it with a bright blue outlined circle. It's horrible.

I mentioned dribbble.com in the last edition of the newsletter. The response there by some of the most talented icon designers around the world has been incredible, with plenty of really great alternatives that look and work better.

This one is by far my favourite. Steve Jobs has already defended the bad logo. Let's hope he changes his mind.
