Campaign Monitor September 2011

Hello again!

The old website was due for a new coat of paint, so given we had a few spare moments this week we gave it one. Focusing on big images to showcase some of our recent work as well as projects we're still proud of.

Take a look, tell your friends, oh and if you don't spot your project on there, don't worry -- you're all nice people :o)

Now, onto some interesting and weird pieces from the internet...

Windows 8 is getting a new look, too

As a Mac user I'm typically quick to disregard developments on the PC side of the fence. However as a UI designer I'm kind of fascinated by this new 'Metro' UI that Microsoft is touting.

I'm skeptical of their claims that this will run on tablets as well as computers. It's certainly very unique though so they deserve credit for not just ripping off iOS, like other competitors have been quick to.

Take a look for yourself.

September Industry

More amazing design work to fawn over

Almost certain I've linked to September Industry before but they're just the best showcase of amazing print-design work on the net.

This page of work from Leeds is no exception, super well done work. Just look at that gold foil! Digital design is great and all but this just can't be matched.

Not this diamond

Planet found made entirely of diamond

Not this Diamond.

But diamond never the less. This piece from last month details the Australian discovery of a planet in our very own galaxy which potentially is entirely made of the precious material.

I guess all that's left is the internal conflict amongst the science community whether it's more important to retrieve this, or find other forms of life. What's more valuable?

YouTube: Driving the dream

I guess this is about as close as most of us will get to riding your dream bike.
